An Organized Crime Has Gone Unpunished For Trump

This analysis deserves more attention. Trump has done nothing less than an organized crime that I wish in the future the criminal justice system will apply punishment to him. At a minimum, we should hold Trump accountable in the court of law at places where local curfew was in place, and /or masks and social distancing had been pronounced as mandate by local authorities.

It is important to recognize that in holding even just one of those campaign rallies — even if it only had two people but without demanding for masks and social distancing — it is no longer empty rhetoric but criminal offenses. It is the same difference between saying “I really want to kill that bastard!” and actually killing someone. Nobody should receive penalty in the former but EVERYONE should be prosecuted in the latter. By doing that, we show how the legal system works bipartisan or is above politics.

Of course, it is questionable whether such campaigns are indeed criminal. To make it punishable the order has to be mandatory rather than optional. This is where we see the legal system has to build upon each other. Having a wish to punish offenders is far from enough, you must first of all make the law public and executable. Biden was right that after he becomes the president, he would talk to one individual jurisdiction after another to persuade them away from pandemic politics and go by science. A more efficient way is to publish science based federal guidance and then talk to local authorities.

Still, an organized crime should receive more attention than an individual offense, simply because more people are likely to become the victims. It is also a more serious offense when it was launched by the highest executive of the country, who had the knowledge from long ago about how serious damages the virus can make. Finally, evidences like the above analysis has revealed make the cases stronger.
