State Dominance Is Not A Fixed Feature of Asian Economies

The insightful and interesting piece in the Economist told a story that may hold true for all economies, especially Asian economies including China: That state led development does not have to be the single unique feature for them. Instead, it is just where they started and as they become wealthy later, things may change. To be sure, they may never rise to the same level of independent citizens as the US does, but they may not worship the states as they used to. Funny thing is the US pressure on China to change its mode of development from state led to market led, may turn out to be much ado about nothing. Instead of wasting billions of dollars on seeking short term, immediate changes of the second largest economy, things will change on their own slowly but surely in the long run, without even costing a penny. $latex \alpha = 0, \beta =\infty$
