Finally I was able to move my blog from WordPress.Com to WordPress.Org! What a nightmare with the former host! It is designed for e-commerce and not for blogging. Every time you need to install a plugin it would charge you money. On the WordPress.Org side everything is free!
Why the Site?
I have long been thinking about creating such a website of my own and making it the home or the private corner of my ideas, thoughts, comments and critiques. Previously I had a blog site called jwventures but that somehow has been obsoleted by Word press and no longer available. Every time I click on it to write, it directed me to my commercial websites of Novusfire.com and R on Windows.com. I have been using my Facebook account to write comments, ideas but that is not the best because venue because it is meant for pictures and other “light weighted stuff.” I have also been using Google Keep for short ideas, which are limited in length, contents (you cannot easily comments on other posts, for example.)
The mission of this site is to collect my own original and ongoing thoughts, either in the format of commenting other posts, articles, news and events /developments, or creating my own initiative thinking. The goal is to accumulate sufficient contents that later can be organized into publishable books.
What is in this site?
Mostly my premature thoughts and ideas that are subject to revision, deletion and rewriting over time. Ideas evolve over time, and they are also up to short term tests. The best approach therefore is to pen down ideas when they first hit, and let them “cool down” for a short period of time no more than two months, before revisiting them for changes.
